About Us

Laura Hann

Hello, I’m Laura, the owner. I’m a Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist, a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) and a Board Approved Supervisor.

My passion is to help people develop a healthy relationship with food and their body using a weight neutral, Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy. As both a clinical psychologist and family therapist,I am skilled in working with young people and adults with eating disorders and body image distress using cognitive-behavioural therapy for eating disorders (CBT-E), Schema Therapy, Family Based Treatment (FBT), Supportive Structured Clinical Management (SSCM) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

I’m a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED), and is a Verified Provider member of Size Inclusive Health Australia, so you’re in good hands.

In my spare time I like to read, garden, do yoga and pilates, ride my bike or walk around the river.

Hollie Jackson

Hollie is our very friendly receptionist. She’s here in the morning Tuesday to Friday.  She will answer calls, texts and emails, manage all appointment bookings ,  help with Medicare issues, scan your referrals and assist all new and ongoing clients in any way she can.

Hollie has extensive experience in administration, and has worked in both the private sector and for the state government.

When she’s not at work, Hollie is the proud mum of two boys, and is leaving us in May to welcome her next child.

Stay tuned for updates on our new receptionist!

Our Vision

Everyone can recover from disordered eating and body image distress, and every session makes a difference.

Our Mission

We provide excellent therapy for young people, adults, families and carers; professional supervision for colleagues; and education and support to our referrers and community. We educate the community about the harm caused by diet culture and weight stigma, and promote weight-neutral, Heath At Every Size (HAES) aligned care for every body.

Our Values

Integrity

We live as we speak: we model HAES principles in our own lives, and speak up about weight stigma. You're safe with us, and you can trust us.

Ongoing learning

There is always something to learn in this ever-changing field, and we keep an open mind about new therapies or new approaches. We strive to improve our services in any way we can, to maximise the therapy experience for both clinicians and clients.

Staff wellbeing

We care for our staff. We support and encourage staff wellbeing through manageable caseloads, manageable hours, and regular reviews. We believe that when staff take care of themselves, they take better care of our clients.
